Harvest Moon Over Roches Point Lighthouse

September's full 'Harvest Moon' rises over Roches Point Lighthouse at the mouth of Cork Harbour. The term 'Harvest Moon' originates from times before electricity to describe the full Moon that occurs closest to the beginning of Autumn, when farmers depended on the Moon's light to harvest their crops late into the night.
